Meadow Yurts - Insulated Banner

At Meadow Yurts we love yurts

Yurts are a traditional dwelling that originated in Central Asia. Their portability and simple design makes them an ideal home for nomadic people, and as such they have been in use for centuries.

Our yurts share many similarities with more traditional designs but have been adapted for the more temperate European climate. As the weather here is far wetter than in Central Asia we use a fully waterproofed cotton canvas and a steeper pitched roof to enable all that rainwater to run off. The steeper pitch also creates more space and gives a wonderful airy feeling inside. We've spent years living in our own yurts, in all seasons and all weathers, from the height of summer to the depths of winter, and we've always been happy and comfortable.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to stay in, party in, or even own, one of our beautiful, hand-crafted yurts. We offer yurt hire and yurts for sale at affordable prices for a wide variety of occasions. You can see our prices on our hire and buy pages, and we also offer flexible payment options - with no interest charged – so see our instalment plans if you'd like to spread the cost.

We offer a wide range of sizes, from a cosy little 10 foot to a truly massive 40 foot, a magical alternative to a marquee, all made from a variety of woods (larch, oak, hazel and ash) and covered with flame retardant, waterproof, & rot resistant canvas (Flame Retardancy BS.7837:1996, Water-resistance BS.3408:1992, Rot-Resistance DEF STAN 68-141 ), for both your safety and the longevity of the yurts.

If you are interested in hiring or buying a yurt, or would like a bespoke yurt built to your specifications, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We happily deliver to our customers in both the UK and mainland Europe and are more than happy to either teach you how to set-up your yurt or to simply do it all for you.
